Firstfruits publications see texts as delightful and colourful balloons, formats echoing containers. It has since inception, enthused the literary community with its evocative and intelligent spectrum of titles and related activities; book launches both locally and abroad, reading events, writing workshops and writing competitions, all executed with an unmistakable footprint: visceral and with gusto.
            The shortlist of the 2006 Singapore Literature Prize saw all three nominees for English writing were poetry books published by firstfruits publications - Cyril Wong's Unmarked Treasure, Aaron Maniam's Morning at Memory's Border and Yong Shu Hoong's Frottage.
